Saul Alvarez: Manny Pacquiao is not invincible, he’s already loss

We were treated to a dazzling display that Saul Alvarez put on Sugar Shane Mosley last Saturday. Saul Alvarez has been put down by his lack of competition and rightfully so. This past Saturday he became a grown man. Alot of fans and media want to say Shane was no competition but you would have to critize Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather too, because they both fought him recently.

Manny Pacquiao was able to drop Sugar Shane Mosley by speed and not neccessarily power. Although we know speed brings power. Shane was able to get up and move around on his bicycle the rest of the fight and it caused Manny to lunge sometimes to hit Mosley. Even though Manny Pacquiao beat Shane Mosley easily, there was Shane’s trainer Nazim Richardson who said they “showed everyone else the blueprint to beat Pacquiao”. If your moving around the whole time, it’s hard for anybody to hit you. That means you didn’t come to fight.

Saul Alvarez on the other hand stalked Mosley down and at times let Mosley come to him. It was a great fight but you could see the hard thudding shots he was hitting Mosley with. Even though Shane did not go down like the Pacquiao fight, he was taking a pounding by a young heavy handed hitter. Saul proved why he was the 154lb champion. In our last interview with Alvarez he stated, “Manny is not invincible, he’s already loss”. It sounds like a book out of Floyd Mayweather’s script. Alvarez has stated he would come down and meet Pacquiao in a catchweight. The young undefeated Mexican Champion vs the People Pound 4 Pound Champion at 150lbs sounds good to me.

Manny has heard it all before, but first thing is first and he has to beat Timothy Bradley in order to face the next opponent. Manny does want to fight in November. If Alvarez does not face James Kirkland or Miguel Cotto next, then maybe he might get his wish because Pacquiao wants to fight in November too.
