MANILA, Philippines ? Manny Pacquiao believes American challenger Tim Bradley will assume the form of a raging bull when they meet in the ring on June 9 in Las Vegas.
Bradley, though a skillful fighter, is notorious for employing tactics associated with a different sport, something the Filipino puncher is very much aware of.
During a simulation of Bradley?s attacking style, Pacquiao ordered assistant trainer Buboy Fernandez to lead with his head so he could come up with the right strategy to prevent that shiny head of Bradley to collide with his.
?That?s what he?s going to do,? said Pacquiao, quickly adding that he will greet Bradley?s head with his furious fists each time he attempts to bang heads.
It?s no secret that Bradley is going to fight dirty in an effort to mess Pacquiao up and lead trainer Freddie Roach said they have to be prepared not only for Bradley?s head but his razor-sharp elbows as well.
?He?s going to do everything (to win),? said Roach, who will start the Baguio phase of the training on Wednesday.
A Bradley clone, Ruslan Provodnikov of Russia, is due to arrive next week and will be Pacquiao?s only sparring partner in the initial stage of the training.
Roach said the rugged Provodnikov should get the job done because he fights like Bradley, who is short and compact.
Two more sparmates will check in next month when they begin the most crucial phase of the buildup at the wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood.
