Michael Koncz is suppose to be the advisor for Manny Pacquiao. If he had anything to do with securing this deal, then he did not think it out all the way. Just a couple of weeks ago Pacquiao confessed that he is a changed man and that he gave up gambling, women, and alcohol. So we can see why it seems contradictory that he would do a Hennessy commercial when he said he gave up alcohol.
One of the biggest problems celebrities have are they are always in the spotlight. Think of it as doing a “Say no to Drugs Commercial but then turn around and film in a movie where your a dope dealer”. I think Manny Pacquiao meant well, but it was not received by the public in a good way. Pacquiao should have a better team around him to advise him it was not a good move in the eyes of the public.
Manny is a role model for millions around the world. Each step he takes is very caculated to the T. There’s an old saying that “All publicity is good publicity”. That is a lie, there are some things that can destroy you. Manny Pacquiao must also realize that not everyone in your circle means you any good. There are people that are close to you, that want to see your downfall. A True friend will tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. Let’s hope Manny get’s some real True Friends and not just Yes Men.
