IBF Jr welterweight world champion Lamont Peterson (30-1-15KO-1D) sat down with 8CN and talked about his big rematch Vs. Amir Khan. Peterson shocked the world by defeating Khan in their last fight taking the titles in the process. Lamont tells 8CN that he is eager to get back into the ring so that he can show the world that the 1st win was no fluke.
Lamont tells 8CN that he is actually more happy for his coach Barry Hunter than he is for his own self in capturing the world title. Hunter is not only a coach, but he has been a father figure for both of the Peterson brothers.
This big rematch Vs. Khan is scheduled to take place on May 19th, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Peterson tells 8CN that he will be ready for whatever Khan throws at him.
