MANILA, Philippines – Timothy Bradley is smart bomb, a guided missile that Manny Pacquiao may find too hard to evade.
?When I?m in the ring, I?m in there to seek and destroy, and that?s the difference between me and other fighters,? Bradley told www.ringTV.com the other day.
Bradley is out to destroy Pacquiao, and everything that surrounds the 33-year-old Filipino, who hasn?t lost a fight since March of 2005, and has won 15 in a row, eight by knockout.
Bradley is younger at 28, and an inch shorter than the nearly 5-foot-7 Pacquiao.
But it doesn?t mean he will allow himself to be pushed around by the same boxer who?d beaten up guys as big as Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto or Oscar dela Hoya.
Bradley said he?s no greenhorn, and on June 9, at the MGM Grand, he?ll prove it.
?You know what? I don?t consider myself a rookie in this game at all. I?ve been in some big fights in my life. I know how to fight,? he told boxing chronicler Lem Satterfield.
Bradley vowed to go all out against Pacquiao, the reigning WBO welterweight champion. He considers Pacquiao a warrior, and once the bell sounds, it will be war.
?You know, I don?t really care what happens in that ring. The referee is in there to do a job, and I?m in there to do mine,? said Bradley.
?I?m ready. I?m really ready for this fight. I feel that this is my moment, and I?m definitely going to seize the moment.?
The undefeated fighter from California had said many times over the past few weeks he?s out to hurt Pacquiao because that?s the only way he can win the fight.
?I?m not going to keep shaking hands with him. I shake hands with him in the beginning. That?s what we do in the beginning,? said Bradley, a 3-1 underdog.
