Mayweather has room to talk about people being stupid?

Recently I read where Floyd Mayweather Jr told folks at the press conference that Manny Pacquiao, ”Wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer.” Oh really now? I may not know a lot of things about what goes on inside the “Money Team”, but one thing that I do know for sure, certain people have no room to talk when it comes to criticizing others. Floyd Mayweather Jr is one of them.

Need I remind Mr Mayweather that launching racial slurs at Asian people isn’t being “the sharpest knife in the drawer” either. Telling the world that New York Knicks star basketball player Jeremy Lin is only getting hype because he’s Asian, isn’t being the “sharpest knife in the drawer.” Domestic violence and gambling isn’t being the “sharpest knife in the drawer” either.

One shouldn’t throw stones in glass houses. Floyd is real good it seems at criticizing others, but choosing to turn a blind eye on his own self. People do not like hypocrites, nor do people like those who judge others. There’s a great Bible scripture where Jesus says in Matthew 7:3, ”Why do you see the speck that is in your brother?s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?” This is a great message, one of my favorite in the New Testament.

Floyd needs to stop noticing specks in the eyes of others, and remove the log from his own.

Floyd should probably focus on Miguel Cotto right now as opposed to dragging Manny Pacquiao’s name back into the fold. Pacquiao from all accounts has cleaned up his act in a big way and my sources tell me that he has stopped his gambling ways and has been spending his time with his wife and family, and in church. This is a good thing.

Pacquiao will face Tim Bradley next and this won’t be a walk in the park. Pacquiao will probably win this fight, but he will not just walk through the young, fast, in his prime Tim Bradley.

Floyd Mayweather will square off with Miguel Cotto next. He too will probably win the fight, leaving once again the whole boxing world in anticipation. Perhaps the can has been kicked too far down the road this time though. Mayweather Vs. Pacquiao seems light years apart right now.
