Ken Thompson of Thompson Boxing Promotions is putting on a professional boxing show at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario. Dubbed New Blood for the exciting young talent it features the show packs a cozy arena inside the hotel on regular basis. This Friday, February 24th is no exception. As a matter of fact a highly exciting line up for the season opener has knowledgeable boxing fans buzzing about it for weeks. The main reason for the success of ? New Blood? is an industry respected match maker , Alex Camponovo who is well known for developing their fighters the right way and making exciting, competitive match ups for the fans.
In the main event of the evening San Bernardino?s rising welterweight Artemio? King? Reyes (14-1,11KO?S) will square off against Mexican veteran puncher, Victor Hugo Correa(14-4,9KO?S). Last time out Artemio Reyes raised some eye brows when he dominated former Olympian, Javier Molina in front of national television audience on Showtime.? I knew I had him as soon as he began to exchange with me in the second round,? said Reyes about his memorable win. Known for his aggression in the ring Artemio King Reyes is an action fighter you don?t want to miss.
Another young pug you do not want to miss is a super bantamweight, Efrain Esquivias (15-0,9KO?S) who will square off against a gritty veteran from Mexico, Adolfo Landeros (20-22-1,10KO?S) in an eight round scrap. Regular participant on the show undefeated Esquivias has been training at the Wildcard Boxing Club in Hollywood under tutelage of legendary Freddie Roach. Esquivias fast hands and sophisticated defense suggest he could rise all the way to the top.
In a semi main event East LA?s welterweight prospect, Aaron Martinez (15-1-1,3KO?S) is scheduled to face Dashon ?Fly Boy? Johnson (13-4-3,4KO?S) from Escondido, California. Aaron Martinez is never in a bad fight because he leaves it all out in the ring. Last time in Ontario Martinez gutted out a split decision victory over tough as nails Albert Herrera in an eight round battle that featured furious exchanges throughout.
Boxing fans love knock outs and that is why you do not want to miss Riverside?s super bantamweight, Richard Contreras(9-0,8KO?S) whose last performance at the Double Tree Hotel in Ontario ended with a first round knock out of Angel Torres. Richard will face savvy veteran from Sinaloa, Mexico, Daniel Quevedo (13-12-2, 8 KO?S). Both guy can punch, so don?t blink.
Steadily rising in popularity female professional boxing will be featured as well with a four rounder in a junior flyweight division with Sindy Amador (6-0,1KO) and Gloria Salas (3-6-1,1KO) pitted against each other.
