BOXING aficionados, beware. The sport could be deadly.
This, after a supporter of Mexican boxer Erik Morales had stabbed dead the other night in Quezon City a fan of Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao for arguing that the latter is the better boxer.
Ernesto Sulla, 27, laborer, of 1031 Sabitan Extension, Proj. 7, QC, was stabbed 10 times in the different parts of the body and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital.
The suspect, identified only as a certain Boboy, eluded arrest.
Police said the incident happened around 9 p.m. Friday at Road 8, Dangay St., Bgy. Veterans, during a drinking spree.
The victim and the suspect began arguing on the approaching Pacquio-Morales fight.
At the height of the argument, the suspect pulled out a knife from his pocket and repeatedly stabbed Sulla.
The QCPD has launched a manhunt for the immediate arrest of the suspect.
