FILIPINO boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao is set to wrap up his Spartan-like training Monday at the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, California and head to Las Vegas for his January 21 rematch with former tormentor Erik Morales of Mexico.
The two-time world champion Pacquiao and his entourage that includes American trainer Freddie Roach are expected to motor their way on 1-15 North en route to the Sin City, according to fightnews.com.
Pacquiao, a native of General Santos City, is expected to arrive in Las Vegas Monday night.
Morales, meanwhile, is expected to hit Vegas Tuesday aboard a private jet.
Morales, a three-time world champion, is also wrapping up his training in the mountains of Mexico.
A press conference will be held prior to the weigh-in on Wednesday.
On January 21 (January 22 in Manila), Pacquiao and Morales will square off at the Thomas and Mack Center in a 12-round super featherweight fight dubbed “The Battle.”
Both fighters are seeking redemption.
Morales outpointed Pacquiao the first time they fought, that was back in March also in Las Vegas.
But the Mexican is coming off a loss to Zahir Raheem in a card that also featured Pacquiao last September.
Pacquiao had a triumphant campaign that night, stopping Hector Velasquez in the sixth round.
