Calgary?s Steve ?The Dragon? Claggett put on a good performance in front of home town fans stopping ultra tough Ontario charge Ryan Wagner in six rounds in the ?Time for Truth? co-main event. The fight started with Claggett stalking and Wagner moving. Both fighters landed some good shots early as Wagner looked to land from range while Claggett pumped a stiff jab. The ?Dragon? started to invest in some body work in the second while Wagner continued to throw hard long punches from the outside as he backed off. Things heated up in the third as Claggett landed a big left hook and the fighters traded shots on the inside to close out the stanza. In the middle rounds Claggett?s accuracy started to carry the way as his well placed hooks started to see Wagner bleed. The Ontario product fought back hard but his long wild punches didn?t often find the mark. In Round 6 a brutal hook to the liver felled Wagner who winced in pain. He got up but was put down twice more by equally debilitating body shots. Claggett won via convincing TKO in the sixth to improve to 13-1-1 (8 KOs).
