Ever watch a tennis match when the camera pans the crowd? You get thousands of heads that move back and forth, to the left and to the right as they follow the ball. This resembles what’s going on between Bob Arum of Top Rank and Floyd Mayweather Jr. It seems each day the rifles are pointing at different camps. One thing is for certain, both sides have done their fare share of blocking this fight.
Manny Pacquiao is not the problem. He will hug a rattlesnake if you let him. Pacquiao certainly is not afraid to fight anyone.
Recently Floyd Mayweather has called Pacquiao out on Twitter, and recently after giving cancer research $100,000.00 he spoke from his gym and called him out again.
Floyd also called Manny and had a brief conversation with him. Last week Pacquiao agreed to a lesser than 50/50 split. Once again proving that he is not the problem for blocking this fight.
Arum came out and said no to 50/50, Manny Pacquiao didn’t say no to it. True enough, Floyd wants the lions share of the pot but frankly I don’t think he deserves more than 50/50. Manny is just the cash cow and PPV monster as Floyd Mayweather is. Pacquiao has been more active, and he’s just as popular, maybe even more popular than Mayweather on an international scale. Why should Mayweather get more of the cake? With that said, Manny did agree to a lesser than 50/50 split, which probably infuriated Bob Arum to no end. Nevertheless Pacquiao did agree to a smaller piece of the cake.
So once again I ask the same question….If Manny is cool with less than 50/50 and Mayweather is agreeing to fight, why hasn’t the fight been signed? Who’s left to get on board? I’ll let you fans decide.
