A Las Vegas judge minutes ago just made Floyd Mayweather Jr’s day. Floyd won’t have to report to jail until June, which makes his May 5th fight a go. It’s your move now Mr Arum. According to Arum, Pacquiao wasn’t going to be ready for a May 5th fight, yet that all changed once Floyd was told to report to jail on January 6th, which is today.
Now that the judge has agreed to postpone Floyd’s report date to June, this makes the May 5th date wide open. If Pacquiao is ready enough to take on the 4 names that Arum recently listed, Marquez, Bradley, Cotto, and Peterson, then he certainly should be ready for a Floyd Mayweather who will (thanks today’s ruling) be ready for May 5th.
It’s your move Mr Arum. Will Arum do what the fans want and make the fight, or will there be new excuses as to why this fight can’t happen?
I’m guessing that Mr Arum has a new headache right now. This is the last thing that he wanted to hear. The nightmare scenario has happened, and the May 5th date is a go.
