I realize this is a Boxing site not a Judicial site but since Floyd had to face some Judicial allegations, I was wondering if his attorney did for him what Mel Gibson’s attorney did. Mel Gibson’s attorney plead Mel Gibson with a Nolo Contendere no contest in writing. This merely means that upon that type of plea you cannot take that case and use it against him in another case. Mel Gibson knew he was facing not only a criminal case but a follow up with civil law suit which means money damages. With a Nolo Contendere plea Mel Gibson’s baby’s mom would not have been able to use his criminal plea against him to support a civil lawsuit against him for money damages.
It would be nice nice if the Champ Floyd Mayweather would create a non-profit Johonnie Cochran law school for the youth of today. We are certainly short on Doctors and Lawyers with the penitentiary setting before us. What are we telling our kids that’s just the way that it is if we don’t make it in show biz. It would certainly be a worthwhile tax write off. In or out of jail we love you Champ.
I think Ortiz should be charged with criminal assault charges since he gave a free and willing statement to the radio station that he intended to try to break Floyd’s nose with a game called dirty pool in the Boxing Ring. Would this be referred to as criminal intent. I guess Ortiz decided to take the Prize Fight Profession with the intent to turn it into criminal activity. Ortiz are you really that tuff. Was that a Boxing mind-set or a Gang-Bang mind-set?
