Whether a nondescript man or a celebrity, you?ll get yourself thrown behind bars if you mess with the law.
Sadly, in this beloved country of ours, big shots hardly get jailed.
You hurt your wife, you threaten your kids, no big deal to our Justice of the Peace. Mostly, he/she merely metes out a slap in the wrist.
Over here, celebrities rarely go to jail. Only some politicians who commit plunder, or are suspected of having committed it, or those who may have done electoral sabotage, do.
But you hurt your girl and kids, or poke at a security guard?as what Mayweather did in November 2010?you might get away with it.
It is that poking infraction that put Mayweather yet in hot water. Already, he was asked to pay a $1,000-fine after entering another guilty plea that he did it.
And for that, he might yet draw more time in the slammer, maybe?
Now what about the libel charge he is up against Pacquiao?
Will Mayweather also enter a guilty plea, and next ask for forgiveness?
In short, with the 90-day jail sentence, and with his row with the security guard over the petty issue of ticket parking in his own village still to be done away with, will Mayweather finally stoop and apologize to Pacquiao?
And again, what wrong has he done Pacquiao.
