After his laywer’s appeal for a continuance of his 90-day prison sentence until June 1st to honor the May 5th date reserved by the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for his next fight date, the first question that came to boxing fans’ minds is just who Floyd Mayweather, Jr. will be fighting on the said date.
According to Top Rank’s Bob Arum, it’s probably not going to be Manny Pacquiao. Arum stated that the May 5th date would not be enough time to promote a Pacquiao-Mayweather superfight and that the MGM Grand would not be a big enough venue for such an event.
