This Saturday New York’s Madison Square Garden will be packed full with excited boxing fans, all there to witness Miguel Cotto get his revenge against Antonio Margarito. At least that’s Cotto’s plan anyway. Make no mistake about it, there is no love lost between Miguel Cotto and Antonio Margarito. Cotto has been calling Margarito a ”criminal” for allegedly using illegal hand-wraps the last time the two men met in the ring. Margarito has denied these allegations, yet did serve a suspension from boxing over it.
HBO’s 24/7 has been doing a fantastic job getting the fans hyped up for this battle. It’s a classic ”GOOD” Vs ”EVIL” fight that certainly has it’s line drawn in the sand. These two guys don’t like each other one bit and we should see that clearly on Saturday.
Cotto has a bone to pick, and he fully intends on doing that. Margarito shows no sign of remorse and in fact, he is almost smug about the whole thing. During the last HBO 24/7 episode, Margarito said that Cotto ”cries too much” and after hearing Cotto call him a criminal, he replied, ”fuck Cotto!”
This is sure to be a throw-down with both men fighting like warriors. Margarito is no quitter, he proved that against Pacquiao. Cotto will have to kill Margarito in order to stop him. Cotto is a warrior as well, and with what happened to him in their last fight, you know that he wants his revenge.
