Sometimes when they touch, BOTH Mayweather, Pacquiao want this fight right now

Common sense and the lack of the usual verbal fireworks emanating from both camps inform this five decade observer of professional boxing that something is cooking. Call it a low flame if you wish but ast least the gas has been turned on. At least the Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. camps are in communication about making the deal for the richest fight in history. For his part, Pacman has authorized his uber agent Michael Koncz to remain in the USA for another or week or so. Agent Koncz may fly from his Orange County abode to New York to huddle up with promoter Bob Arum, who I think arrives Tuesday to preside over the Antonio Margarito-Miguel Cotto rematch Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. Koncz isn’t flying to the Big Apple to watch the Knicks in their first shootaround. And, wait, there’s more. The 24-7 rumor mill also has it, that if the framework for a May or June Mayweather-Pacman Super Bout starts coming together, Pacquiao may come to NYC also. Having already dished out wicked beatings to Mexican Margarito and Puerto Rican Cotto, the Congressman from Sarangani certainly wouldn’t come to scout them. Let me warm you, fans of both fighters, don’t get trapped in the minutiae. It doesn’t matter that there never was an email from mediator Weinstein relaying a message to Team Mayweather that Pacquiao was not interested in fighting unbeaten “Money” next.
