Floyd Mayweather Jr. -Manny Pacquiao timing is pluperfect, it’s now or never

Time To Stuff The Turkey Or Why Mayweather-Pacquiao Is Certainty For Next May or June:

1. Child’s play. That’s what Team Mayweather now thinks fighting and beating Pacman will be, largerly based on his subpar showing and extreme difficulty with Juan Manuel Marquez on Nov. 12. Floyd and henchmen felt Pacquiao was “easy work” before and now they’re convinced that it’s a mistmatch from ding to dong. 2. Mayweather gets to fight in his (adopted) hometown. “Money” has a comfort level in Las Vegas and so does the Pinoy Idol. With the American and world economies continuing to slump, it will be Viva, Las Vegas and Viva MGM Grand Garden Arena as the only viable venue no matter what “wolf tickets” Bob Arum barks about. The site is a non-issue. 3. Both Floyd and Manny have run through all really viable foes, save for each other. How many times would Manny have to fight Tim Bradley or Mayweather box another Victor Ortiz type–three times probably–to earn the golden purse they take down when they finally fight each other? 4. Floyd has already ordained his choice as “hero” for bringing the parties together. Mayweather’s recent helping heapings of love expressed for Top Rank president and Arum stepson Todd duBoef sent this less than subminal message: Al Haymon and the Mayweather camp will pat themselves and the Toddster on the back for making the Big Bout. Arum turning age 80 come Dec. 8, will not get any ego massage but he prefers income injections anyway. Despite what the “Money Team” thinks or theorizes, Arum will let his ego slide and be happy that his chosen successor is getting the verbal bocquets.
