Not a week had transpired since an emotional defeat, and boxer Juan Manuel Marquez is ready to continue his professional career at the age of 38.
Following a highly unpopular majority decision defeat to Manny Pacquiao last Saturday, Marquez seemed as in retirement would be an option.
The Mexican has made a decision, and walking away from the ring wars is not an option.
?I feel good at 38 years old,? said Marquez. ?I have a few more fight, a few more years left in me.?
Marquez mentioned he had not discussed the decision with his family, but his wife Erika Marquez is standing by whatever decision he makes.
?If he decides to walk away, we would support him. If he continues fighting, we will support him,? said Mrs. Marquez. ?It is his decision.?
