WBA lightweight champion Brandon Rios recently stopped by ?The Boxing Lab?, BoxingScene.com?s official radio show, and touched on some topics in the boxing world with hosts Ryan Burton, Luis Sandoval, and Ernest Gabion. Rios had spent a few weeks training in Temoaya, Mexico with his stable mate Antonio Margarito, as the two men share the same trainer in Robert Garcia, but is now back in his Oxnard, Calif. bases.
Margarito is getting ready for a December 3rd rematch with Miguel Cotto, which is tentatively set to take place in New York?s Madison Square Garden. Margarito handed Cotto his first defeat in July of 2008 in a comeback effort that saw him rally in the second half of the fight while dropping Cotto twice on his way towards and 11th round TKO victory.
