WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38 KOs) won a close twelve round majority decision over nemesis and three-division world champion Juan Manuel M?rquez (53-6-1, 39 KOs) on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Tactical early rounds, but things heated up in the fourth. Good round for Marquez in the fifth. Most rounds very close with both fighters having their moments, just like the first two fights. Pacman suffered a vertical cut over the right eye in the tenth from an unintentional headbutt. The last two rounds were close.
In the end scores were 114-114, 115-113, 116-112. The Pacquiao-Marquez trilogy now stands at 2-0-1 for Pacman.
