LAS VEGAS–One of the greatest and most amiable boxing writers on the planet is Jose Luis Camarillo. He is the acknowledged and respected “dean” of fight scribes in boxing mad Mexico and come January he will mark his 37th year of distinguished journalistic service with giant national newspaper, Esto. I asked, as is my custom with any major fight in which one or both principals are from South of the Boarder, Camarillo’s opinion as to how “Chapter III” will turn out Saturday night here at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino for Juan Manuel Marquez and Manny Pacquiao. Camarillo’s words flowed freely from his lips as smoothly as they do from his computer and on to the newsprint of Esto and its website. But Camarillo’s opinion should have Mexico City resident Juan Ma and his countrymen crying into their cerveza. “Do I pick Marquez? No, I do not,” Camarillo said. “How could anyone pick Juan Ma to win this fight? “What I am writing today for tomorrow is that Pacquiao has to prove that he is a phenomenal fighter or if he is only a very good fighter.
