It’s a very tough time for the Frazier family. Former world heavyweight champion “Smokin” Joe Frazier lost his battle with liver cancer last night. Frazier was one of the greatest heavyweight champions of all time. He defeated the great Muhammad Ali, he showed the world what he was made of in the ring. He remained humble throughout life and life hasn’t always been so good for him.
The Frazier family has suffered throughout Joe’s fight as well. Funeral are not cheap so the last thing that a grieving family wants to deal with is the mounting costs of a funeral.
Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr normally is the recipient of media beat downs. In many cases he has brought those beat downs upon himself. He’s had brushes with the law and he has said some things that have offended people in the past. With all of that said, Floyd made a big step forward last night by informing the Frazier family that all of the funeral costs would be taken care of.
