World Boxing Federation junior welterweight champion Dindo Casta?ares and Japanese prospect Daigoro Yamamoto will settle an unfinished business when they meet in ring for the third time tonight at the IMP Hall in Osaka, Japan.
Their first two encounters ended draws, including their 10-round Sept. 11 fight that ended in a technical draw after Casta?ares suffered a deep cut on the forehead at the same venue. In October 2002, they also fought to a draw after eight rounds.
Casta?ares, the Orient and Pacific Boxing Federation No.2 challenger who holds a 16-3-2 win-loss-draw record with 12 KO wins, left for Japan last Nov. 3.
“I want to finish our unsettled business once and for all. Even though he is taller by three inches, I had the upper hand in our previous fights specially the first encounter when I was winning, but the fight ended a draw,” Casta?ares said before he left for Japan.
“In our second encounter, nothing really happened because of the cut I got from a head butt. This time, somebody will have to win and that will be me.”

After his successive defeats in Japan in 2003, Casta?ares has won four of his last six fights, losing one and drawing his fight against Yamamoto. His defeat was handed by Aswin Cabuy of Indonesia via a third-round knockout.
However, he redeemed himself and went on to win the World Boxing Federation belt by stopping former champion Guillermo Mosquera in December last year. He defended the title against Australian puncher Steven Marks by a fifth-round stoppage. (
