Time for Pacquiao, Mayweather, Marquez and all fighters to come clean on drugs

LAS VEGAS–It’s time to end the hypocrisy in boxing. It’s time to stop pretending that we are policing the use of HGH, EPO and these other banned drugs by fighters. Maybe Manny Pacquiao does use EPO, maybe’s that why his in the ring endurance is so phenomenal. And maybe Floyd Mayweather Jr. has used HGH in his amazing ascent from his first world championship at 130 pounds to now when he and Pacquiao are not only the two supreme welterweights (147 pound limit) but also the sport’s Numero Uno and Numbero Dos pound for pound fighters. And whta are we to make of Juan Manuel Marquez, now turned into an Incredbile Bulk if not an Incredible Hulk by dirty drug bandit Angel Heredia or Hernandez or whatever his last name is on a Thursday? Not to mention Nonito Donaire Jr., Andre Ward and other fighters who are counseled by former BALCO steroids and related drugs bossman Victor Conte? I don’t want to say there’s a heavy cloud of suspicion over a few select fighters because it’s more like a mushroom cloud hovering every successful fighter. So how to change this foolishness? Simple, I say. Let any and all boxers use any drug they want to. I know some of these drugs are illegal in different countries but that’s also ridiculous. Make all these sports performance enhacement drugs legal everywhere, at least for consenting adults to use as they see fit. Bottom line, Pacquiao, Mayweather, Marquez and more are all suspects under the present absurd system. Will we ever learn that Pacman or Marquez cheated for Saturday night’s Chapter Three bout here Saturday night at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino? No way, Don Jose, since there is no semblanced of unannouced, surprise, surprise random testing. Juan Ma and Megamanny will be tested immediately before the fight and immediately thereafter. So, if either or both were cheating, only a rank fool would get caught by these two tests.
