On or around the time the Don King promotional ship took on water and all but sunk, Bob Arum was the guy with the Cinco De Mayo fight date. Now Mayweather and his advisors, and I believe these are two separated parties, one of which is Leonard Ellerbe, are pulling a Joe Frazier-like move by taking away the second biggest party day/weekend for Hispanics. I mean, Arum and Manny can?t go on the same day. If they did, they?d essentially be slashing their own promotional throat. They can?t afford to do an event and split the audience with Floyd. Have you seen yet that Floyd has just snatched the big psychological all the crap i?ve seen hurled as Arum, in years, my God, he?s slipping and thus allowed the Cinco De Mayo holiday 2012 weekend to get away from him seeing Floyd has the date and the MGM Grand.
