Don King, one of the most powerful figures in the history of boxing, who witnessed Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and Larry Holmes with his own eyes, has previously been critical of the world domination reign of the Klitschko Brothers Vitali and Wladimir. But since he?s been in semi-retirement and not been as interactive with the media, as he once was, I was curious to ask King about his latest, current opinion of the Klitschkos, after seeing how they have completely cleaned out the Heavyweight division.
Last week, Don King was in New York to promote his December 5th ?Viva Don King? show in Florida, headlined by Guillermo Jones vs. Mike Marrone, and it was a chance to ask King this question: ?Would you concede now that the Klitschkos are very good fighters? I know that you were quite critical of them in the past.?
King answered, ?The fighters, the Klitschkos, I?ve never been critical of the Klitschkos. How would you put that?they are demographically in one site. They are WORLD CHAMPIONS, not GERMAN champions. When you say Heavyweight champion of the world, that means you fight anywhere, anyplace, AROUND the world. Once I do ?Rumble In The Jungle 2′ I?m gonna get you because I want you to be there. I love the Klitschkos. I have no problems with the Klitschkos. In fact, if I had the Klitschkos I would have platinum gold. They got two Anglo-Saxons, white kids, both brothers coming out of the same mother and they making a few dollars, five million, ten million, six million, all that. Man, they would be priceless. They don?t know how to be promoted. I mean, this is everything that the Aryan, this is the epitome of white supremacy. I mean, Got Damn, what else do you want? Big, blue-eyed Aryan. What are you talkin? about? And now you talk about, and they down there fighting only in Germany where they got the complexion to get the protection.?
