“I’m not saying I’m going to knock him out, but I do train hard for this fight and, you know, we made a lot of sacrifices for this training camp. If the knockout comes, it will be through hard work. I just have to make sure that I’m 100% conditioned…I believe that this fight is a more exciting fight, a lot of boxing in the ring, because of Marquez’s style, and my style also is very similar, so there’s going to be a lot of boxing in the ring.,” stated pound-for-pound champion Manny Pacquiao, who spoke to the media about the upcoming November 12 clash with Juan Manuel Marquez during a conference call held earlier today. Check out what else he had to say.
On the fight…
He’s saying he was robbed in the last two fights, so I can tell you this third fight will be the answer.
On Marquez’s strength and conditioning coach…
I don’t have a comment about that.
On the importance of knocking out Marquez…
I’m not saying I’m going to knock him out, but I do train hard for this fight and, you know, we made a lot of sacrifices for this training camp. If the knockout comes, it will be through hard work. I just have to make sure that I’m 100% conditioned.
Like what I said, if the knockout comes, it’s a bonus for the hard work that I did, but I worked hard for this fight to make sure that I’m ready for the fight and that I’m 100% conditioned for the fight.
On Marquez’s style and the difference in this fight from the last two…
I know well his style because from the last two fights…we study different moves for his counter punches…it’s a different fight. I’m ready for this fight.
