On Wednesday afternoon in Los Angeles, California, eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao again entertained the media in advance of his November 12th trilogy bout with Juan Manuel Marquez, set to take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. As is the custom for Pacquiao?s open workouts, it was a packed house as the Filipino icon went through the motions with his strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza and his trainer Freddie Roach.
The Marquez fight is intriguing on some fronts given the deep history between the two, but it?s not the fight everyone would want from Pacquiao at this point. Soon to be 33 years old, Pacquiao?s time in the sport looks to be creeping to a close and we simply have to appreciate him no matter who the opponent happens to be.
And that?s why the Wild Card gets so crowded on days like this, because Pacquiao is that special of a fighter. Let?s enjoy him for as long as his career lasts.
