Earlier today in Los Angeles, California, IBF bantamweight champion Abner Mares and former champion Joseph ?King Kong? Agbeko met yet again ahead of their upcoming rematch this December 3rd. In September, Mares won a highly-controversial majority decision over Agbeko in September at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in a fight that saw him land repeated low blows that went uncalled for.
Agbeko and his supporters cried foul after the fight and their hopes for a second fight have been answered. The first fight was highly competitive, with Agbeko suffering two dubious knockdown calls yet rallying late in the fight, and the rematch will hopefully produce a far more satisfying conclusion.
