Manny Pacquiao owes the public a sizzler, not more tedium

Manny Pacquiao has “a marker” out in Las Vegas and, on Nov. 12, he should make sure that he squares his debt with the live audience at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino and with the worldwide pay per view TV audience.

You see, Pacman owes us, all of us, an exciting fight.

Maybe not an electrifying fight but definitely an exciting one, a bout which gets the juices flowing, in his Chapter III match against Mexicvan counterpuncher Juan Manuel Marquez.

Despite his age slippage, despite the fact that he is a blown up lightweight posing as a welterweight, Juan Ma might be able to play his part in a way that Pacman foes Sugar Shane Mosley, Antonio Magarito and Joshua Clottey couldn’t or wouldn’t.

Whatever else you want to say about Pacman archrrival Floyd Mayweather’s abbreviated (four round KO) victory over green as grass Victor Ortiz, it got the public steamed up.

The controversial ending should have never been a matter of serious public debate–as Mayweather put it best, it was time in and “open season” when clocked Huggy Bear Ortiz–but it was and, in some quarters it still is.
