Will Floyd Mayweather?s unpredictability scare Manny Pacquiao away?

We all know by now that Floyd Mayweather is unpredictable in and outside of the ring. One never knows what is going to come out of Mr. Mayweather?s mouth. He is what boxing fans talk about, he stirs the fight fans drink, the conversation about Mayweather is not about what the 42 win fighter has achieved in the ring but more about what he does and says outside the ring. Whether it?s something the controversial Mayweather says on the 24/7 show, which, is often aired prior to one of his fights, or one of the many videos found on youtube. And let?s not forget about many of his outburst about Manny Pacquiao, who he claims must be taking performance enhancing drugs. We still haven?t mentioned his many legal troubles.

What occurred Saturday night at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas between Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz will have many talking for months about what Floyd Mayweather did inside the ring.

Through three rounds of the fight it was clear that Mayweather had a game plan in place to offset the aggressiveness and power of the bigger Ortiz. The counter punching Mayweather often caught the younger Ortiz with straight solid right hands. Through the first three rounds Mayweather held a clear lead ahead on all three of the judges score cards. Then the controversial forth round, the round that will be replayed several hundred times in week to come, the round that many will be talking about for several weeks. The round that may have Manny Pacquiao thinking twice before agreeing to any fight with Floyd Mayweather.

In the controversial fourth round the frustrated Ortiz decided to take a leap of faith and head butt Mayweather. The butt cost not only Ortiz a point on the score cards but it cost him the fight. Before we get to the ending, it should be noted that throughout the bout Ortiz was noticed using is head a few other times. After the head butt and several please forgive me?s, which, included what appeared to be a kiss by Ortiz. Mayweather took matters into his own hands. As Ortiz stood with his hands by his sides looking away at referee Joe Cortez, Mayweather hit the unprepared Ortiz with two shots to the head the second sending Ortiz to the canvas and down for the count.
