Three-division champion Juan Manuel Marquez is currently in Manila in the Philippines, having just recently arrived with Top Rank promoter Bob Arum. Marquez will be facing off with WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on November 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, and he is in town to kick off the promotional tour for the event.
While in Manila, Marquez has recieved a hero’s welcome and could also be found conducting some road work and meeting the mayor of Manila, Alfredo S. Lim. Marquez will be facing Pacquiao for a third time and while he considers him a fierce rival inside of the ring, he has seemed to take well to the Filipino hospitality.
