This past Friday, undefeated, six-time world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. set aside time from his rigorous training preparations to engage in a candid interview via Skype with United States Soldiers serving in Afghanistan. Mayweather will be facing WBC welterweight champion Victor Ortiz on September 17th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada and appeared very relaxed as he spoke to troops for over two hours. Showing a humorous side, Mayweather even was gracious enough to take the troops on a tour of the ?Big Boi? Mansion that he currently calls home. When the troops finally got around to asking Mayweather questions, he didn?t shy off from taking a few digs at his upcoming opponent.
?Ortiz? Ha. It?s gonna be easy work, like taking candy to a baby. I’m not worried about him at all, I have a lot of experience and I?ve been places in the sport he will never go in his career,? said Mayweather of Ortiz.
