Judging by the fierce and controversial nature of their first two bouts, you would expect to find some tension in the air whenever Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are around one each other. But judging by the ambience today in the Philippines, as Pacquiao and Marquez were in Manila to promote their upcoming trilogy bout, the mood seemed to be much more festive than anything else.
Maybe it?s the fact that that the fight is still over two months away or maybe the truth is that each man has definite respect for the other outside of the ropes, but either way there was little room for animosity or trash talk on this day. Instead Pacquiao and Marquez were greeted by thousands of adoring fans who took in the presser that also included dancing, stage performing, and fireworks, among other things.
Come November 12th, when the two men meet inside of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada, the mood will surely be much different.
