WBA/IBF light welterweight champion Amir Khan, currently on a pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, decided to voice his opinion on several topics earlier today through his twitter account.
To begin he once again talked up a fight with Floyd Mayweather, a topic he rarely seems to tire of:
“Within the next 12 months I promise I’ll beat floyd maywether and I’ll be the first to do so. Inshallah. Always a young Lion coming through”
Leading on from this bold claim, Khan was then asked by a fan whether or not he would ever fight stablemate Manny Pacquiao, to which he replied:
“No I will never fight Manny Pacman we are like family”
For the time being the question of Khan and Pacquiao facing each other is largely an irrelevant one due to the fact that they are in separate divisions and both have plenty of other potential opponents to occupy them.
The one man who might change all that is Floyd Mayweather.
