Floyd Mayweather Jr. needs to drink from the well of optimism or a Rooster Punch

Floyd Mayweather Jr. needs to take a refreshing drink from the well of optimism.

As the clock ticks down to his Sept. 17 ring return against Vicious Victor Ortiz, whose Dickensian upbringing makes him almost impossible to root against, Mayweather comes off as a nattering nabob of negativity concerning the Megafight against Megamanny Pacquiao.

Mayweather, to his credit, isn’r badmouthing either Pacman or promoter Bob Arum these days, which must be difficult given the deep-seated resentment still harbors against his former promoter.

But Mayweather chirps that “it is obvious” that Pacquiao won’t submit to fullscale, random driug testing in order for the two Superpowers to collide in the ring.

Robert F. Kennedy said some men see things as they are and say why while others see things as they could be and say why not.

Mayweather places himself, with these cryptic comments, in a third category, a place for men who see something the rest of the world cannot see.
