I consider myself a true boxing head to the death. With that being said, I can appreciate all styles of boxing. I can appreciate the way Bernard Hopkins can slowly but surely execute the opposition. Or the way Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather can trick his opponents by giving them just a half a second of confidence only to then counter them to death. Or the way Sweet Pea Whitaker dared you to touch him as he stood a foot infront of you. Nicholino Loche was also a sick scientific fighter that shoulder rolled off the ropes only to come back to make you pay. Same with Willow the Wisp, Roy Jones Jr., and so many others that practice the sweet science. In fact, I may one day come up with a pure boxer top ten all time list of my favorite boxers that made their opponents look silly. But this here, is my top ten list of the most exciting fighters that I ever saw. Feel free to write in and give me a list of your top 10.. Hope you Enjoy.
Iron Mike Tyson- Kid Dynamite was your worst nightmare.. Mike was super fierce and often entered the ring with the look of a killer. For a heavyweight, Mike had crazy hand speed. This human wrecking ball of a man may just have been the most feared man on the planet. Mike Tyson always came to entertain.
Manny Pacquiao- The Pac-Man, this man right here gobbles up the competition with ease. Pacquiao really loves to give the fans a great show. Insane hand and foot speed. The closest thing to Bruce Lee. Love watching him fight.
Roberto Duran- Hands of stone was no joke! This dude was relentless. Had the type of power that could crumble a building. He fought with fire every time out.
Edwin Valero- It?s a shame that he wasn?t around long enough to see his true greatness. This possesed animal brought a shovel with him. Valero was a straight up storm.
Felix Tito Trinidad- Tito fought with so much passion that it made him even more dangerous. With power in both hands, Tito always went out there to lay you out.
Thomas Hearns- The Hitman, tall and lanky but scary power. This man was incredible, the Hitman fought with a kill or be killed mentality.
Arturo Gatti- Thunder Gatti was the ultimate warrior. Just about every single fight that he was in was super exciting.
Diego Corrales- Chico had very good power and the heart of a lion. Many fighters say thay they have no problem dying in the ring, this man meant it.
Marvin Hagler- Just to give you an idea of how exciting this man was, Hagler was Miguel Cotto times 10.. Marvelous Marv never bored you. Intense animal.
Ricardo Lopez- El Finito was Juan Manuel Marquez and Erik Morales rolled into one fighting machine. May have been the greatest finisher of all time. This fighter was a storm, Finito could do it all, he could box and counter you like Juan Manuel Marquez, he could brawl like Morales, and had power like Julio Cesar Chavez, oh and he had the energy of a Salvador Sanchez. El Finito was very special.
Honorable Mention- Julio Cesar Chavez, Salvador Sanchez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Erik Morales, Micky Ward, Alexis Arguello, The hawk Pryor, Johnny Tapia, and many more but only these come to mind right away.
