MANILA, Philippines ? Former featherweight champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero believes that Filipino boxing icon Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao will dominate his trilogy bout against Juan Manuel Marquez.
“I see Pacquiao coming up in weight, he’s done it before, and he’s been successful at it,” Guerrero told BoxingScene.com.
But Guerrero is not completely dismissing Marquez? chances.
“Marquez is always in great shape, he’s a very intelligent fighter and he knows how to make things happen; he knows how to adjust in the ring,” he said.
For Guerrero, however, Pacquiao is now too advanced for Marquez.
“He (Pacquiao) is getting better every time we see him and Freddie Roach is doing a tremendous job with him,” Guerrero said.
Guerrero said that because of Roach, Pacquiao now knows how to work his right hand, and is able to utilize his jab efficiently.
“It’s really making life difficult when you have a guy that fast, and a guy who punches that hard, changing up different things,” Guerrero said. “I think it?s going to be a great fight but I think Pacquiao dominates it.”
Pacquiao-Marquez III will be held on November 12.
