HOT POTATO EXCLUSIVE via HOLLYWOOD, California – Celebrated Harvard lawyer and Top Rank Godfather Robert “Bob” Arum is ready to embolden the pre-fight campaign for Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez into another level. In an exclusive interview Tuesday at the Fortune Gym on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, Arum says, “We’re planning something spectacular in the Philippines in September with Pacquiao and Marquez; Some of it will revolve around participation by the Catholic Church.”
Arum promotes this highly anticipated trilogy between Marquez and Pacquiao which has been scheduled on November 12 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Arum points out, saying, “We’re going to do a big press conference on September 3 in the grand arena (Luneta Grandstand)down near the harbor hotels in Manila before hundreds of thousands of people. And the next day we hope to arrange the big mass officiated by the Archbishop of Manila with both Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez.”
“The schedule is still tentative, but it’s almost one hundred percent certain,” he smiles.
“It’s going to be huge companies endorsing and working on this worldwide media tour for Pacquiao and Marquez, something never before seen in the history of boxing.”
Arum rather hesitates to disclose specific companies behind this worldwide media tour. He says he is not going to speculate until everything is finalized referring to business deals. But, he says Top Rank is going to have a big announcement shortly.
The said media tour will start in Manila,Tokyo, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, London, New York, California, Nevadaand will end in Mexico City, as reported in recent weeks.
