The legendary Roy Jones Jr joined the 8CN Podcast and gave us his thoughts on the atrocious scoring that took place in Atlantic City last Saturday night. Jones was ringside as part of the HBO commentating team. 8CN asked Roy for his thoughts if it is indeed confirmed that Hilton Whitaker (III) who is listed as the President of the USBO and is affiliated with the IBO, judged the Paul Williams Vs. Erislanda Lara fight.
If it is confirmed, Jones is calling for an immediate decision reversal, and or fines to be handed out. Roy also suggests that perhaps boxing should start going to HBO’s Harold Lederman for official scoring. An interesting idea, as Lederman’s scoring is usually pretty close to what most other people see when they score fights.
