LOS ANGELES — Tickets are such a premium for Saturday night’s double-header featuring Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales in two separate main events that not even credentials, 30 complimentary tickets and an additional 90 passes were enough for his friends and fans.
A Pacquiao insider revealed the boxer has already allocated 120 tickets but said they were still short by several more because of the demand from his followers.
Paquiao, he said, has already bought 90 tickets, paying for them from his own pocket.
Tickets are priced at $300, $200, $100, $50 and $25. Though Pacquiao is generous to a fault, the source said the fighter bought more cheaper tickets than expensive ones.
The Staples Center, home of the Los Angeles Lakers, has a capacity of close to 20,000.
Top Rank Inc. said ticket sales have been exceptionally doing well the last two weeks.
