Ahead of their July 23rd clash at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan and IBF titlist Zab Judah have continually traded words both through the press and directly through their social media accounts.
Undoubtedly attempting to get inside his opponent’s head, Judah has fired a constant barrage of taunts, insults and at times offensive messages at Khan, most of which the Bolton, England native has ignored.
Recently Judah even went as far as claiming that Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach wouldn’t be able to come up with a game plan to beat him, stating:
“Ya Trainer good but don’t let him lie to you. He can’t come up wit a Game plan 4 me there no tape you can watch to describe me trust me you’ll see!!!! Amir Khan”
Judah does have a point in that in the past his biggest problem has always seemed to be consistency. On numerous occasions Judah has looked like a world beater in one fight only to struggle in the next against a lesser opponent, meaning that knowing which version will turn up on any given night is a tricky thing to predict.
Despite his skills though Judah has also lost six fights, namely against Floyd Mayweather, Miguel Cotto, Joshua Clottey, Kostya Tszyu, Cory Spinks and Carlos Baldomir, and at 33 isn’t getting any younger in a division packed with young talent.

Regardless, Khan’s game plan will likely involve using his speed and reach to keep out of harms way during the first half of the fight before turning up the pressure in the second half as Judah slows down. An approach that several opponents have used to good effect on Judah in the past.
Judah however appears to remain confident of winning, despite opening as a sizable underdog, and today bet Khan that he wouldn’t see the final bell:
“Let’s make a side bet that you won’t make it 12 rds I bet you 100,000k* Amir Khan”
(Should probably read as 100k, unless Judah is a lot richer than we all thought)
“And that bet is Word to my Sons!! 100k let’s do it boy this is big boy games now let’s play!!! Khan”
