Robbery in the Lou?- So did Devon ? The Great? Alexander just recieve an early Christmas gift? Did Lucas Matthysse do enough to take it out of that too close to call judging zone? I would answer maybe to the first question and No to the second question. And that my friends is why I wouldn?t say that it was a robbery. In my opinion, the fight was just to close to call. A draw would have been the best way to go, I just don?t feel that Mattysse fought with enough fire for me to say that he deserved the victory 100%. Alexander fought with a lot of heart to be able to pick himself up from the flash knockdown, at that point, Matthysse should have pushed on the gas pedal straight to the floor. Matthysse allowed for Alexander to touch him with that speedy jab way too much for my liking. And other than that jab, Alexander didn?t do too much himself. Alexander should have followed it up by baiting Matthysse in and then unload 3-4 shot combos. Next time, Matthysse should study the way Maidana, Margarito, and Brandon Rios stick there opponents in too hot to handle spots then they attack with 100% fire. Pacquiao is also real good at placing his opponents in their places, Matthysse hasn?t learned that just yet. Fighting hard at only 70-80% of the time is not going to get you the nod gainst a fighter fighting at home. Take that with you.
Haye vs. Klitschko- I can not wait for this fight! This fight is going to be the real life lie detector test for David Haye. I love the way Haye talks that trash, I love his swag, and I especially love the fact that he wants to fry the biggest sharks in his division. I am expecting to see a real good fight, I just hope that speed is not the only weapon that Haye is banking on. In the Alexander/Matthysse fight, Alexander seemed to be in his comfort zone by simply just flashing the jab, well guess what? Klitschko is going to look to do the same to Haye. Haye must find a way to adjust, Haye must set traps often in order to have Klitschko walk right into a Hayemaker. This is the fight where we will be able to see if Haye can adjust to the heat that is coming his way. Haye must move in and out and find a clever way to walk directly into the furnace without getting burned.
