US Olympian and current welterweight prospect Sadam Ali (13-0-7KO) sat down with 8CountNews and gave us his thoughts on his most recent victory. Ali faced the tough John Revish (10-4-8KO-2D) on May 20th. Ali tells 8CN that Revish was able to get his attention in the 8th round and admitted that he got caught with two good shots. This is all part of coming up the rankings, and Ali will certainly be contending for a world title in the near future. Ali knocked Revish down with a left hook in round 2 and it seemed like it was going to be a short night.
A light at the venue went out and as a result, there was a 26 minute delay. Ali tells 8CN that it appeared to him that Revish was breaking down and was tired so the delay helped him (Revish) recover. At the end of the night it was another nice victory for the up and coming welterweight. 8CN predicts that Ali will be a world champion in the not so far future. Sadam is a level headed young man, and his team is moving him perfectly thus far.
