Saturday night at the Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, middleweight Julio Cesar Chavez Junior will be in the fight of his life.

Not because rival, and World Boxing Council champion Sebastian Zbik is one of the greatest fighter in the world, but because Chavez is trying to make a statement before a large American television audience.
The knock on Chavez Junior is that he has been fed limited competition, struggled at times, and living off of the name of his legendary father.
Chavez’s trainer, Freddie Roach, believes the twenty-five year old is ready, and Chavez himself is so confident that he is already planning bigger and better fight. Advertisement
Though veteran Puerto Rican Miguel Cotto will be at ringside Saturday night, having Chavez in his crosshairs, the young Mexican has other thoughts on his mind; namely pound for pound talent Sergio Martinez of Argentina.
“Martinez es a great champion,” said Chavez Junior. “I wish to face the best and if I win, then that would be a good fight.”
For now Chavez must impress his detractors, and HBO’s television audience Saturday night to be in the mix against the best middleweight in the world.
