Pacquiao belies steroid yarn

LOS ANGELES, California — The Pacman is going home. Manny Pacquiao along with wife Jinkee and a team of about 30 flew out of Los Angeles International Airport last night (Friday morning in Manila).

?Salamat sa lahat ng mga Pinoys at sa lahat ng mga kababayan ko na sumuporta,? said Pacquiao.

However, he leaves with new controversy.

“Sugar” Shane Mosley tweeted a story to his fans about a former Filipino sparring partner that claimed to have injected Pacquiao with steroids.

The story gave no names, but appeared on several sports forums, and has caused debate among fans.

?If you can show me a Filipino sparring partner we had, then It put some credence to the story but we?ve never had one. It’s totally absurd story we’re not even going to respond,? said Pacquiao?s adviser, Michael Koncz.

?Hindi tutoo yan,? said Pacquiao.

The Pacquiaos will arrive in Manila in time to celebrate his mother’s 62nd birthday. Her only birthday wish was a new Herm?s bag.

?Herm?s but not Birkin, because Birkin is heavy. So better the simpler [one],? said Jinkee.

The 8-division champion is also taking his new title as ?Philippines? richest congressman? modestly.

?Happy lang,? he said.

Despite reports of Juan Manuel Marquez agreeing to a November fight with the Pacman, Team Pacquiao said the deal is not yet finalized, and they’re still going through their part of the negotiations.

With Top Rank trying to book a November fight for Pacquiao, the Pacman will most likely return to LA around early October.

For now, the Pacman has been eager to go back to his other job–as a Philippine congressman.
