Supposedly, Shane Mosley entered a boxing ring on Saturday night to “fight” Manny Pacquiao. What took placed has been described as a “glorified” sparring session by many, and with all the attention CBS and other main stream broadcasters gave the bout – along with the horribe event, some suggest it might have set the sport back five years with the mainstream public.
Several callers chimed in to give their thoughts on the bout and who should get blamed for such a miserable fight. Is it promoter Bob Arum? Or Shane Mosley, for failing to put up a fight – like most callers and co-host Chavez argue. Or maybe Manny Pacquiao should carry some blame, as co-host Lois suggests.
Either way, many opinions were voiced, along with praise for the entertaining supporting bout between Jorge Arce and Wilfredo Vazquez Junior.
