Manny Pacquiao fans have now for two straight weeks, taken over the RSR email bag. At this rate, we may have to do a special one just for Manny questions. There are some other questions thrown into the mix such as questions about our signed glove giveaway sponsored by Ken Norton, Edwin Valero makes the bag this week, and few other are thrown into the mix. The glove comes with a COA that it’s authentic and Ken Norton happens to be a buddy of mine who sent them into us. I hate to read a boxer like the caliber of Pacquiao and Morales taking different opponents for what they called tune up fights before they fight each other. I hope to see both men losing this fight. Can Velasquez possibly beat Pacquiao?

Money in boxing is about good as how good you were in your last fight, unlike some major league contracts their friendly.

I am amazed with the kind of record EDWIN VALERO has, 14 wins, 0 losses and all by knockout in the 1st round. Do you think he is now on his form to clash with Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo or even Erik Morales in the lightweight Division?

He’s a lightweight lefty prospect that can create some excitement in the division.
I honestly don’t think anybody should place a fighter within proximity of championship rounds in that caliber until they’ve had at least twenty-six or more fights under their belts first.
There’s something where the older and younger breeds do agree and are having it tight on.
People would have to get second and third looks about him being extended before that, and knocking them all out in 1st rounds wouldn’t be what they’d be looking for.

After Pacquiao took all Morales had to offer and remained standing do you think this affects how JMM will strategize for a possible rematch?
Before the JMM bout pretty much everybody doubted Pac’s chin surviving JMM’s punching power, and even after getting tagged cleanly by JMM numerous times and shaking it off, still a lot of doubters persisted. I think if Pac decides to go back to 126 he’ll kill everybody including JMM, Chi, Harrison and Juarez. At 130 I believe he will just be an average puncher and may even get knocked out by the monsters in the division.

I’d have to agree based because out of all the people surprised, it just had to be Marquez that night. And you’re right, not many gave Manny a chance before the bell rang.
I could not argue with what we all know about Pacquiao’s success at featherweight.
However, no matter the reasons being that his weight rise is, we respect what he’s doing in there giving it 100 percent.

From what I could ascertain about orientation to the September 10th Saturday clash slated with Manny Pacquiao against Erik Morales PPV by Top Rank at the Staples Center looks promising.
One match for that twin bill that wouldn’t be seen however, looks to be Olympian Brian Viloria’s WBC 108-pound championship fight with Eric Ortiz, mentioned not being aired on HBO.
I’m not sure if the rebroadcast that I take you’re making reference to will be a sure thing yet or not.

What is your take on Monte Barrett against Hasim Rahman?

George, Barrett could spoil any fight on any given night. If Rahman works his counter punches well enough over time against Barrett, I’d pick it to be an interesting bout going the distance for either man in taking the decision.
For Monte, it would be pivotal to use his jab in scoring the rounds; otherwise Hasim will present a problem in there for him. Rahman presents late round knockout power to top.

Do you think they will bring back The Contender series? Did you watch it? What do you think of Sergio Mora?
