Los Mochis, Mexico .- After having a memorable 2010, the super flyweight champion of World Boxing Association (WBA), Hugo ?El Incre?ble? Cazares is working in the gym waiting for his next fight, which could take place in June.
Cazares?s return has been prolonged because earlier this year, he had an accident that left him out of the gym, but since last April, he is working and waiting for the date in which he will get back to activity.
?We are awaiting the confirmation of our next match. We are training. We are getting condition to be well suited when the time of increasing the work intensity comes, in order to be in optimal conditions.? Assured Hugo Cazares, from the gym Kochul.
The range of possibilities in the super fly weight is quite large, since there are two other compatriots with world championship belts, Cristian ?El Diamante? Mijares (IBF) and Tomas ?El Gusano? Rojas (WBC). Besides the argentine, Omar Andr?s ?El Hurac?n? Narv?ez (WBO).
?At this weight I feel strong, I feel fast, precise, and I believe that a unification bout against several fighters is possible. There are some mexicans and an argentine [Omar Narv?ez], who is a super flyweight of the WBO. So, we are in talks to get an approach from them [Narv?ez team], looking for a unification fight.? Commented Cazares in relation to the unification.
Cazares also contemplates the possibility of emigrating to the bantamweight directly to find a world championship. A weight in which he assures being in the same conditions as any other fighter because he possess tonnage, strength and punch to scale to other division and remain competitive.
One of the bantamweight champions that Cazares would like to face, is the ?Filipino Flash? Nonito Donaire. A fight he was offered in the past, but he rejected due to monetary issues.
?I had talks to that fight [against Nonito Donaire], unfortunately the promoters always want to win and they don?t want to recognize the whole path we have done. I was offered too little for that fight, and I think it is not fair for a double champion to receive a low payment for a really big fight, as it would be against Nonito Donaire.?Assured Hugo Cazares.
